About Us

Experienced Breeders

Dogs are in my blood!  My mother bred Pembroke Welsh Corgis and my sister bred Pointers.  I started showing my first dog at the age of 9, a Schipperke named Cracker.  When my oldest daughter was 9 she wanted a Cavalier puppy.  I found an exceptional breeder, Pam Burkley/Saintbrides and we got out first dog.  She was a beautiful tri girl named Saucy.  Pictures of her will be on this website.  We went to a few shows, did well, and we were hooked.  This is the most exceptional breed.  We health tested our original girls and started a selective breeding program.  We have been very successful with health, temperament, beauty and longevity.

Happy, Healthy Bloodline

All my Cavaliers are health tested annually by veterinary specialists.  I have been very careful in my selections of breeding stock to make sure health and temperament are the most important attributes.  The average longevity of a Nightingale Cavalier is 13+  years.  I am very proud to report owners that have contacted me when their dogs have reached their 14, 15, and even 16th birthdays.  Health certificates on the parents are provided with all new puppies.  All babies are vet checked by Dr. Kirk Forrest at VCA St. Mary's Veterinary Hospital.  He has been my vet for almost 30 years.

A Furever Friend

Cavaliers are sweet, people loving dogs.  They are easy to train because they want to please.  They need your love and protection.  A healthy diet, appropriate exercise, and snuggling are very important.  They are a small but sporty breed that enjoys the kids soccer game almost as much as the couch. They are a natural coated breed that does not require clipping.  A good brushing daily will keep the mats away and the hair mostly off your furniture.  Bathing is easy and most dogs are quite cooperative.  I will be as involved with you and your new dog as you like.  I have many owners now that have second, third, fourth+ dogs from me.  I cherish these relationships.
